Obituary of Jose C. Reyes and Eleana R. Maravilla

Jose C. Reyes III (9) was a resident of Plummer, ID and died on February 2, 2014 along with his sister Eleana R Maravilla (5) when they fell through the ice of a small pond on Agency Road, near Plummer. Jose was born May 25, 2004 at Spokane, WA. He was taken home by his grandmother Rose Gonzales who became his guardian and raised him. Jose was attending the 3rd grade at Lakeside Elementary School in Plummer. Jose is survived by his grandmother Rose Gonzales of Plummer, his parents Jose Reyes Jr. and Mellisa Paison. His Adopted Grandparents Rev. Parker and Jan McNeill of St. Maries , God Parents Karen and Joe Montana and his Papa Mark Hines of Plummer.

Eleana was born April 9, 2008 at Spokane, WA. She too, was taken home from the hospital by her grandmother Rose Gonzales. Eleana was attending Kindergarten at Lakeside Elementary School in Plummer. Eleana is also survived by her grandmother Rose Gonzales, her parents Jacob Maravilla and Melissa Paison., her adopted grandparents Ron and Roxanne Swinkle of Spokane, WA and God Parents Wanda Matt and Dean Pakootas. Both Jose and Eleana are survived by numerous aunts , uncles and cousins. Rosary for both will be recited on Wed. Feb. 5, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. both at the Rose Creek Longhouse, Worley, ID with Fr. Robert Erickson SJ, officiating. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Mission Cemetery, DeSmet, ID. A gathering of family and friends will follow back at the Longhouse.
