Obituary of Kenneth Mark Kelley

Kenneth Mark Kelley (32) resident of St. Maries, ID, died February 17, 2014 from injuries received in a snowboarding accident on Stevens Pass near Skykomish, WA. Ken was born June 12, 1981 to Michael and Marianne Kelley at Benewah Comm. Hospital in St. Maries, ID. He lived in Fernwood, ID. with his parents and attended Upriver School. As a child, he learned to snowboard at the North-South Ski Bowl. The family moved to St. Maries when he was in the 7th grade. He graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 2000. Following his graduation, Ken worked on logging jobs for several area logging contractors. For the past decade , his work experience was split between logging and landscaping jobs, most recently for Mica Meadows Landscaping in Coeur d' Alene in the summer months and for the Stevens Pass Ski Area during the winter months. Snowboarding was his passion. His other interests included wake boarding and sky diving. Ken never married. He is survived by his mother Marianne Kelly of St. Maries, ID and his brother Chris M. Kelly of Cashmere, WA. A celebration of his life will be Friday, Feb.28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Maries Nazarene Church with Rev. Dan Swan officiating.
