To the Family of Doris H. Vance,
I wanted to express my deepest sympathy and concern for you and also share with you the wonderful hope for our dead loved ones. As you grieve Doris’ death, please reflect on the hope in question, which comes from Jehovah God. By means of the Bible, He allows us to understand how He’ll eliminate death for good one day and bring our dead loved ones back to life again. This is evident in (Isaiah 25: 8), (John 5: 28), (1 Corinthians 15:26), (Revelation 21:3 and 4), which can comfort you at this time of sorrow. God’s promises are guaranteed because He cannot lie (Titus 1: 2). Moreover John 11 verses 11-14, 39, 43, and 44 attests that Jesus, whom God appoints to bring the dead back to life, can do it since he demonstrated that when he resurrected Lazarus and two other individuals while on earth. As you await the fulfillment of the resurrection, please heed Jesus’ counsel found at John 17 verse 3 by taking steps to gain accurate knowledge of Jehovah and Jesus through a FREE Bible study with the Witnesses. Notice that in the preceding verse Jesus compares the true knowledge of God and Jesus to “EVERLASTING LIFE”, which will be enjoyed here on earth when it becomes a paradise where you can be re-united with Doris again in a world free of SICKNESS, VIOLENCE, WAR, OLD AGE etc…as indicated in (Isaiah 33:24), (Ps 37: 9-11 and 29), (Psalms 46: 8 and 9), (Job: 33:25).
May you be comforted by the cited Scriptures, which give us a sure hope for a wonderful future in God’s upcoming new and righteous world!(Matthew 19:28-30); (2 Peter 3:13, 14)

My dear Doris. I will regret not getting to play a lot more golf with you and laughing and being silly together. You always reminded me so much of my mom. You both made it to 95 years and maybe you can get together with her and play some golf up there! I'm not sure that you can outputt her as you could the rest of us hackers. Alan and I will miss you,and feel so blessed to have had you in our lives. Love Alan and mary Hill

My Dear Friend Doris, I will truly miss you, we all will miss you, a true friend is very hard to find , I can say from beginning until the end of our friendship, you never changed, always such a joy to be with, loved hearing about your travels and your good times with others, you always talked about everything as if it was the most important thing in your life, which made others love hearing what you had to say. Somehow it made others feel that if you told anything about your time with them , it would be told as a wonderful time. Otherwise you made people feel important, when really you were always the important one. Thank you Doris for being my friend, I truly love every minute I ever had with you. One word that stands for you in my mind is "JOY", I will truly miss you. Mary Bolin and The My Family.

I met Doris for the first time playing Lady's guest night at the golf coarse in 2010 where she sank a couple of putts for our team. Since then my husband and I always have enjoyed talking with her and basking in her smile. Thanks for being a friend to a couple of St. Maries newbies! We will miss you.

I had the privilege of meeting this adorable lady, and learned a lot in the short time I knew her. She had a smile that lit up a room, she had wit that exceeded most anyone I had been around in years, and her faith was engaging. I enjoyed her conversation greatly and wish I had been given the opportunity to know her longer but am thankful God gave me the chance to know Doris and love her. I now know where her daughter gets her strength and courage, may God be with you Donna and the entire family, I know you are exactly where you want to be Doris and are smiling that adorable smile upon us all. Thank you for being you...Laurie

Hey Mom, I think God had a plan... when you came home to us in February 2013, I'm pretty sure He had it in His sites for us to have a good full year together. I so enjoyed, and will treasure forever, those 13 months we shared. You were my "rock" when Jim passed away in March and the months that followed. I can't thank you enough for being here. You were my inspiration and hope I can follow in your footsteps. Thank you for being my mommy :) , at birth, at 20, at 50 & 70. I love you, and will always miss you, but you are in good hands.
