Obituary of Elsie M. Blessing

Elsie M. Blessing (95) Lifetime North Idaho resident, died March 27, 2014 at Hospice House of North Idaho in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was born June 16, 1918 one of 6 children of John and May (King) Wilson at Worley, Idaho. Elsie grew up in North Idaho where she attended school. She married Chet Blessing on May 7, 1939 at Kellogg, Idaho. They had one daughter Donella. Elsie was a homemaker all her life and spent her adult life in Harrison, ID. You could see her dancing the night away at One Shot Charlie's in Harrison. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. Elsie enjoyed bird watching. Her husband Chet died in 2008. Elsie is survived by her daughter Donella Hartman of St. Maries. Two grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 5 nieces and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by brothers Jack and Herb Wilson and sisters Alice Bernhart, Margie Damiano and Dorthy Doty. Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Hodge Funeral Home with Deacon Floyd Turner officiating. Interment will follow services at the Harrison City Cemetery.
