Obituary of Charles E. Dohrman

Charles "Chuck" E. Dohrman (73) resident of Harrison Flats, ID died Jan. 22, 2012 at Coeur d' Alene, ID following an extended illness. He was born Oct. 24, 1938 to William and Edna (Rumford) Dohrman at Sunnyside, WA. As a young man, he worked in the oil fields of Wyoming and Montana. Chuck married Jean McFaddin on May 18, 1963 at Plummer, ID. They made their home at Tekoa, WA before moving to Plummer, ID. He worked for Dorsey Chevrolet at Tekoa. He moved to Rocky Point , ID and began to work for Ken's Auto Body Shop in St. Maries. He and Jean moved to Harrison Flats in 1972. He continued to work in Truck body and fender repair at Ken's before retiring in 2000. Chuck enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Chuck is survived by his wife at the family home. Daughters and sons-in-law Holly and Rick Day of Harrison, Heather Litz and Justin Blakeman of Mullan, ID, Patricia and Glen Brown of Lexington Park, MD and Bonnie and Irvin Williamson of Rathdrum, ID. He is also survived by brother Edward Dohrman of Tensed, ID and sisters Lois Glover of Umatilla, OR, Susan Achtenberg of Kennewick, WA , Patricia Magers of Coeur d' Alene, ID, Sharon Cummings of Tekoa, WA and Marilyn Todd of DeSmet, ID. Chuck is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday Jan. 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harrison Comm. Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Moore officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow services at the Church. His final resting place will be the Sanders Cemetery, Sanders, ID.
