Obituary of Clinton W. Green

Clinton W. Green (81) resident of Fernwood, ID died April 25, 2014 at Valley Vista Care Center in St. Maries. He was born December 28, 1932 to Walter and Phyllis (Cantley) Green in Smith Mills, KY. Clinton grew up in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, California and Washington. He attended grade school in Kentucky and Ohio. He graduated from. High school in Henderson, KY. Following High School, Clinton enlisted in the Kentucky National Guard. When the Korean War started, his unit was activated and sent into combat in Korea. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to home and began to work for his father in an Automobile Repair Shop. Clinton briefly worked for the Roper Plant which made lawn mower parts and Corning ware as well as a watchmaker before going to work for Newark Ohio Air Force Base working on gyros for the Minuteman Three Missiles. In 1962, he met Judith Bennett and they were married on July 28, 1962 at the 2nd Baptist Church in Newark, OH. They began a family and stayed in Newark. In 1969, they moved to Odgen, UT where Clinton went to work for Hill Air Force Base. He worked on the radar systems for jet fighters. In 1972, the family moved to Washington State where he worked for the Defense Contract Administration Service making sure space shuttle parts were constructed properly. While traveling thru the Silver Valley, he loved the area and retired in Fernwood in 1992. Clinton enjoyed hunting, fishing, re-loading, picking mushrooms and walks in the woods. He is survived by his wife Judith at the family home in Fernood. His son Clinton "Corcceigh" E. Green and daughter Kyrole A. Green both of Fernwood, ID Also surviving are brothers Jackson (Judy) green, Mark (Janine) Green and Bruce Green all of Stanwood, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert and Gary Green. At his request, no services are planned.
