Obituary of Regina Anne Green

Regina was born January 10, 1925 in Eureka, Mt. to Dewey Green and Zelma (Schuck) Green. She was the second child in the family of fourteen. She grew up in Eureka and then moved to Portland to work and attend college. She had a love for travel which led her to make two trips to Africa and to get her pilot's license. She traveled and worked throughout the west for years. Later Reggie lived in Homedale, Id. where she mothered her brother's three young children and took care of her parents until they died. In 1982 she settled in Coeur d'Alene to be closer to family. Reggie suffered from poor health for most of her adulthood. She lived a very quiet, clean and simple life alone. She was an avid reader and writer. A talented artist, she made beautiful cards and her family never knew her to miss a birthday. She loved to sew, she loved her cats, and she loved the Blessed Virgin Mary. When her health failed Reggie was moved to Valley Vista where she was cared for by the loving staff until her death July 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her brothers Bob, John, and Don Green, her beloved nephew Johnny Green, and her sisters Dolores Green, Ramona Deede, Rose Mary Green and Agnes Humphrey. She is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Pat Green of St. Maries, Larry and Andrea Green of Spokane, Ben Green of Horseshoe Bend, Id, and Ted Green of Kent, Wa. Sisters and brothers-in-law Fred and Zita Winter of Bovill, and Tom and Karen McQuade of Calder. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Monday July 21 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Chapel, Hwy 3 milepost 71, St, Maries. Following will be burial services at the family cemetery near Calder, Id.
