Obituary of Terry H. Ewing

Terrence H. Ewing (85) resident of St. Maries, ID, died peacefully in his sleep on July 14, 2014 at his home in St. Maries. He was born June 19, 1929 to James and Mabel (Henry) Ewing in the State of Wisconsin. Terry grew up in Kalispell, MT. He served in the U.S. Army in the early 1950's. He moved to Idaho in 1957. He had a brief marriage in 1958 that ended when is wife died in the early 1960's. The marriage produced one son. Terry made his home in Potlatch, ID where he worked in the logging industry through out North Idaho. He worked for Diamond International, Potlatch and Hall Logging to name a few. Terry moved to St. Maries several years ago. In his retirement, Terry could be seen driving his motorized wheelchair up main street between his home and going to his favorite "watering hole" tavern on Main. He loved taking care the neighborhood stray cats. Terry is survived by his brother James Ewing of Yucaipa, CA and local caregivers Jackie Sindt and Julie Young, his family at Resor's and special friend Bonnie Irelan. He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. His ashes will be placed on Rocky Run, above Avery, ID. All Terry wanted was to have his friends have a get together at his favorite tavern Resor's at a date and time to be announced.
