Obituary of Gregory Lee Yehle

Gregory Lee Yehle (60) resident of St. Maries died August 29, 2014 at his home. He was born May 14, 1954 to Ray and Laura Yehle in Wichita, KS. Greg's family was in the military and he grew up in a lot of different places. He received his GED at the age of 17 so he could enlist in the Navy in Moffett Field, CA. He served in the Navy for 6 years spending part of his time in Taiwan. At the age of 22 he bought his first home in Boise, ID. He married his first wife Sally in 1977 and their son Ryan was born in 1978. He was divorced in 1981. He met and married Carol Williams in 1982. They had Seth and Amber and made their home in Boise. Greg was a mechanic and established Greg Yehle's Automotive. He ran his own business until 1988. He then went to work for Big O Tires and would mechanic on the side out of his home. In 1990 he and Carol divorced. Greg relocated to St. Maries in 2002 where he went to work for St. Maries Concrete. In 2006 he moved to Texas where he worked for the Department of Transportation. He was injured on the job in 2011 and was forced into retirement after his injury. At that time he returned to St. Maries. Greg enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-Wheeling, camping, coin collecting, and in his younger years he loved racing. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Greg is survived by his son Ryan Yehle of Texas, son and daughter in-law Seth and Staci Yehle of St. Maries, and daughter Amber Yehle of St. Maries. Also surviving are his father Ray Yehle of Boise, ID, Brother Christopher Yehle of Boise, ID, Sister Pamela Eames of Whidbey Island, WA, and 7 grandchildren. A graveside service is planned at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, ID.
