Obituary of Robert R Nelson

Robert R. "Bob" Nelson (89) former St. Maries, ID resident, died September 17, 2014 at Pinehurst, ID. He was born on Independence Day July 4, 1925 to Jonathan and Ruth (Fredericks) Robinson at Milwaukee, WI. Bob grew up near Klamath Falls, OR. He graduated from High School at Sprague River, OR in 1943. Bob married Pauline Rose on Oct. 3, 1944 at Sprague River, OR. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946. Following his discharge, Bob returned to Oregon where he went to work for his father's family saw mill business. He moved to the Benewah Valley near St. Maries, ID in 1957 and went to work for Hodgson Logging Co. Bob moved into St. Maries in 1964 and went to work for the St. Maries Lumber Co. Bob left St. Maries in 1968 and lived in several areas of the Pacific Northwest before moving to Pinehurst , ID in 1986. His wife died in 2009. Bob enjoyed fishing with Pauline and sharing special togetherness with family gatherings at their home. Bob is survived by son's Chuck (Anna Maine) Nelson of Myrtle Pt. OR. and Nelson of Ontario, OR He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as one Great great-grandchild and several cousins including Phil (Connie) Robinson of Plummer, ID. Graveside services will be Wed. Sept. 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. At Woodlawn Cemetery.
