Obituary of Arlene Clare Wills
Arlene Clare Wills (70) resident of St. Maries died after battling a long illness. She was born November 16, 1944 to Arlen and Jessie Halyard in Port Orchard, WA. She grew up in Port Orchard and at the age of 16 she moved to Ellensburg. In 1961 Arlene married Gary Gardeine in Ellensburg, WA. She went on to graduate from high school with the class of 1962. She lived in Ellensberg until 1967 when she moved to Selah, WA. She was a home maker and raised her family. In 1997 she returned to Ellensburg and later divorced in 1978. Arlene worked for Burvee Custom Meats. She married Butch Wills on February 9, 1984 in Reno Nevada. They made their home in Ellensburg. In March 0f 1988, the couple moved to Fernwood, ID. They owned and operated a cedar shake mill. In 1990 they opened up A&W Satellite in Santa. The business was moved to St. Maries in 2003. Arlene loved woodworking, building bird houses, knitting, crocheting, and painting landscaping, flowers, and birds. Arlene is survived by her sons and daughters in law Rich (Jill) Gardine of Seattle, WA, Maj. Douglas Wills of Oahu, HI, and Tony (Mindy) Wills of Kennewick, WA. A daughter and son in law Regina (Jeff) Jensen of Quincy, WA. Also surviving are her sisters Beverly Church of Seabeck, WA, Debbie Sandstrom of Belfair, WA, and Andrea Sandstrom of Bremerton, WA and 3 grandchildren.
