Obituary of Darline M. Branson
Darline M. Branson (77) resident of Fernwood, ID died March 27, 2010 at St. Maries, ID She was born June 16, 1932 to Estil and Mable (Forest) Bristow at Casper, WY. She graduated from I.H.M. Academy at Coeur d' Alene, ID She was an only child who loved music, especially piano. She was well known as Grandma Darline in the 1980's during which she had owned and operated Torchies Cheveron where every school kid visited her for their lunch hour. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for Valley Vista Care Cener. She was always a giver , no matter who or what they needed, what ever she could help with, she would. Worked as a home health care giver. She loved her home in Fernwood, Id She had a salt lick outside of her dining room window where she could watch the deer, birds and any other visitor. She loved to boat, hunt, fish and camp. She loved gladiolas. She was a good cook. Her favorite pets were her dog Peanut and cat Dominque. Loved Square Dancing. She was a 37 year member of the St. Maries Eagles Auxiliary. The St. Joe Boat Club, TOPS, a former Girl Scout and Brownie Leader. Worked as an Avon Representative. She was a member of the Re-Organized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by son Fred Sweatfield and fiance Kristine of Twin Falls, ID, Daughters Rhea Sweatfield and her companion Bob Cashdollar of Fernwood, ID and Wynne and her husband Kevin Ryan of Sitka, Alaska. Her step-son and wife Brad and Dianne Branson and Step-son Larry Branson all of St. Maries and Step-son Edward Branson of Green River, WY. And Step-daughter Laura Warner of Hayden, ID Also surviving are grandchildren Jacob Steed and Kevin McCully, of Washington, Shane Stewart and Justin and Dannielle Sweatfield all of St. Maries , Cassandra Stewart Hayes & companion Nick of Spokane Valley, Kendra Kells and husband Luke Noble of Muscatine, Iowa, and Steven and Gracie Sweatfield of Arizona and Naomi Sweatfield of Twin Falls, ID And 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Son-in-law Michael D. Stewart, Son, William T. Steed and Walter N. Sweatfield. Memorial service Thursday April 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. At the St. Maries Eagles Lodge. Deacon Floyd Turner officiating. A meal will follow after the services. Hodge Funeral Home, St. Maries is entrusted with arrangements.
