Obituary of Henriette Marian Mueller

Longtime St. Maries resident Henriette Marian Mueller (98) went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 5, 2010, at her home in St. Maries, ID. She was born February 9, 1912 to Louis and Frida (von Grunigen) Verbarg in San Francisco, CA. Her father died when she was one year old and her mother raised three children alone. After graduating from high school, she attended schooling for private secretaries and then worked for an insurance agency in San Francisco until her engagement. On June 11, 1937, she married Clarence Mueller in San Francisco. They returned to St. Maries where they made their home and raised their five children. Her husband worked as a logging contractor for 34 years. She was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. She was an avid reader and enjoyed embroidering. She attended Omega Gospel Hall on the St. Joe River. She will be remembered as a Godly woman, a loving wife and a devoted mother. Survivors include her husband Clarence at the family home; her daughter and son-in-law Martha and Fred Guenther; sons and daughters-in-law Keith and Linda Mueller, Ken and Connie Mueller, Don and Rita Mueller; and her daughter Barbara Balsiger, all of St. Maries. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister F. Louise Matthews and her brother Armin Verbarg. Hodge Funeral Home, St. Maries was entrusted with arrangements. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. May 10th at the Community Presbyterian Church, with Mr. Sam Jacot Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery, St. Maries. Pallbearers were grandsons Dave, Tom, Mike, Paul, Brent, and Brad Mueller. A gathering of family and friends followed the services at the Community Presbyterian Church.
