Obituary of June Alene Adams
June Alene Adams (85) resident of St. Maries, ID died July 2, 2010 at St. Maries following and extended illness. She was born Feb. 28, 1925 to Alvin and Elsie (Brinser) Graham at Rosalia, WA. She grew up in Eastern Washington, where ever her fathers work took the family. She graduated from North Central High School in Spokane with the class of 1942. As a young woman, she moved to Minneapolis, MN and worked in the office of Daytons Dept. Store. In 1956, she entered the ministry and served as a traveling evangelist in the Pacific Northwest. She married LeRoy Adams on June 19, 1959 at Grangeville, ID where they made their home and her three daughters were born. She played piano for the local Assembly of God Church and taught piano lessons to area children. She also directed the church choir and led seasonal Contatta's. She moved to St. Maries in 1967 where she was a homemaker and raised her children. Her family and her ministry of music and teaching scripture was her life blood. She conducted Bible studies in most all of the St. Maries area churches. She played for many area weddings and funerals. She enjoyed decorating her home and having her family around her. She was a member of the St. Maries Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her husband LeRoy at the Family home. Daughters and sons-in-law Shawn and Creig Hixon, Shelly and Steve Lundt and Kim and Calvin Overacker all of St. Maries. Her sisters Leola Miller of Spokane, WA and Phyllis Anderson of Arkansas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was perceded in death by her brother Alvin Graham. Graveside Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. At Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Warren Law officiating.
