I still can't come to terms with the loss of my precious Aunt Vicky. I love you so much, auntie! You helped me make sense of things that didn't make sense, you always showed love and concern for everybody. For such a tiny lady, you were a giant. I miss you playing with all of my jewelry and I was always thrilled to share it with you. Fly away towards the dreams you've left so very far behind

She was bright and wonderful. Full of love and a welcoming heart for all. Her love and warmth will be missed but she suffers no more and the glory of her life is that her spirit will continue to fill the lives of those she loved.

I remember the first time I heard Vicky's voice. She had called me in Alaska telling me she was my cousin and was in town only for the day on business and could she come meet me. Sadly I had a previous engagement and wasn't able to meet until 5 years ago. Time didn't seem to matter. We had a common quest in sharing our information on family history. When we finally met in person it was as if she had known me forever. Always a smiling, laughing, gracious hostess the few times we were able to get together. She seemed to love being in on a good secret! I'm saddened by her passing. I was enjoying getting to know her. My thoughts and prayers are with Marshall, her children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and friends. One thing I have learned from the passing of my own mother is that she may have died but she isn't gone. Look at the eyes, the smiles, the mannerisms of her loved ones...she is there.God's peace to each of you. Enjoy your new digs,Vicky. Love, Donna

Since we first moved here 5-1/2 years ago, Vicky & I have been constant companions. She was more than a cousin, we became Best Friends. We shared so much together, shopping, Red Hats, just about everything. Family meant everything to Vicky and she didn't judge people, she accepted you at face value. What I will remember most is how Vicky always wanted to bring people together. She was our "Social Butterfly" always checking out the new places in town. Whether it was a new resturant, new store, it didn't matter, she'd check it out and then tell us "It's the best you just have to go & check it out" I now can imagine our Vicky telling us about her latest adventure to heaven and standing at the pearly gates and saying "It's the BEST place ever, you just have to come here!" I'll so miss you Vicky and I'll always love you, More than my luggage.
Your Cousin/Best Friend

To the family I offer my condolences. I can't believe that Vickie's life and mine ran so much alike. She was a talented, warm person and my life was better for knowing her. It was good when she would come to visit me and bring that darling little one of Doug and Nancy. Kids keep her memory alive.
God be with you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out. I have known your family my entire life and she will be truly missed. I am so glad I got to see her in May as always she looked so beautiful even though she was in pain. I will miss hearing her call me Ninny Nue. I remember the center piece she made when the triplets came to ID for the first time for everyone to meet. I could not believe it was edible!! Marsh I am so sorry for your loss you truly were the definition of soul mates. I am just glad she is no longer suffering. Love to all the family

Oh Grams,
Although we only had a few times together, you managed to teach me so very much. You taught me how to "keep it all together" even when the world starts to fall down around me, how to never stop trying to keep my "bundle of sticks" together, you showed me real "everlasting love" with your love for Gramps, oh, and that it is perfectly acceptable to "march to my own drum".
I will miss you and your words of wisdom. I forever cherish the memories we made together.
You will always be my role model.

We will surely miss the both of you visiting us in Colorado. Vicky sure could make a mean Bloody Mary :) My greatest memory of Vicky will always be when she dropped the celery in the mud and we just rinsed it off in the drink, we all laughed til Vicky finally tipped over in the lawn chair at the thought of drinking a "Muddy Mary". She was so much fun and we shall miss her deeply. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Thorp family. God bless you all. Love, Vicki Vasquez and family.
