Obituary of Keith D. Olson

Keith D. Olson (82) resident of St. Maries, ID died Oct. 8, 2010 at St. Maries. He was born February 18, 1928 to Dewey and Lucilla (Lamb) Olson at Moffit, North Dakota. He grew up in Moffit, N.D. And graduated from Bismarck N.D. High School with the class of 1946. Following graduation, he attended a trade school at Bismarck. He married Bonnie Foell on October 29, 1955 at Moffit. He worked on his parents farm at Moffit where they ranched and raised Hereford cattle. In 1975 he went to work at Bismarck, N.D. For Melroe Co. operating a punch press manufacturing Bob Cats.. He retired in 1993 and moved to St. Maries, ID. He enjoyed fishing and reading. He enjoyed being around children . He was an avid sports fan and volunteered for many Benewah Co. Hospice fund raisers. He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church and the St. Maries Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the Bismarck , N.D. Moose Lodge and the St. Maries Bowling League. He is survived by his wife Bonnie at the family home. His daughter Robbin Seeklander-Darst of St. Maries, Brothers Gerald Olson of Miles City, MT and Pung Olson and his wife Patti of North Hauula, Hawaii. Also surviving are his twin sister Delores Trautman of Miles City, MT and grandchildren Quinten and his wife Randy Jo Seeklander and Jilllian Darst both of St. Maries. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of his life will be Tuesday Oct. 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. At the Community Presbyterian Church with Pastor Gary Foster officiating. A reception will be held following services in the fellowship hall of the church.
