Obituary of David L. Furrow

David L. Furrow (64) resident of Sanders Road , died Oct. 10, 2010 at St. Maries, ID. He was born Oct. 9, 1946 to William and Audrey ( Barney) Furrow at Mountain Grove, MO. He grew up in Missouri. He moved with his family to Walla Walla, WA when he was a teenager. He graduated from Walla Walla High School with the class of 1965. He married Rosalie Martuscelli in 1965, and they made their home in Walla Walla. He was divorced in 1970 and moved to Oregon. He married Sharon Dyer in 1976 and they made their home at Cherry Hill farm near Woodburn, OR. He specialized in construction and concrete foundation work, becoming a Foreman for Dave's Concrete in Newberg, Oregon. They moved to Idaho on Sanders Road and built a log cabin from scratch. They were divorced in 1990. In Idaho he worked in reforestation for the U.S. Forest Service. He also owned his own backhoe and dump truck and contracted out for work. He later worked for Wemhoff Brothers Construction and Borgmann Trucking. He retired in 2008. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his favorite pastimes was gardening, and he was an avid football fan. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and taking trips to Sturgis S.D. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Isaiah and Valorie Furrow of Yakima, WA, David and Dixie Nesteby (Furrow) of Dixie, WA, and his son Dennis Furrow of Walla Walla, WA. His daughter and son-in-law Charity and Craig Zaleski of Okinawa, Japan, and step-daughters Angela Hagedorn of Cheney, WA and Kimberly Hallberg of Gresham, OR. He is also survived by his companion Wanda Nolan of Sanders Road. Also surviving are his brother Dan Furrow and his wife Karen of Walla Walla, WA, and sisters Lois and her husband Mel Gallagher and sister Kathy Bice and her husband Dave Janson, both of Plummer, ID, as well as Sharon Hutsell of Mountain Grove, MO and Molly Kinchloe and her husband Charlie Warren of Fernwood, ID. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
