Obituary of Frances M. Heimark

Frances M. "Franny" Heimark (85) long time resident of St. Maries, ID died Oct. 31, 2010 at St. Maries following an extended illness. She was born Nov. 9, 1924 to Marvin and Leona (Dorris) Schwartz at Snoqualmie, WA She grew up in Coeur d' Alene, ID where she attended schools. She lived in Denver, CO and San Francisco, CA before her marriage to Willard Heimark on August 18, 1945. They made their home in Wallace, ID where she was a homemaker and raised her family. She moved to St. Maries in 1953. Her husband operated the local Texaco station and she worked for C & M Cafe. She later worked as a cook and waitress for Pat & Scott's cafe and operated to resturant at the Kootenai Inn. She retired after working at the Parkline Supper Club in 1990. Her husband died in 1999. She enjoyed playing bingo and cooking. She was a member of the St. Maries Eagles Auxiliary and the Benewah Co. Sr. Citizens. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Harold and Mary Heimark of Fairview, OR and Dewey and Cindy Heimark of Carson City, NV Also surviving are her daughters and son's-in-law Judy and Don Humphrey of St. Maries and Margaret and Don Lightfoot of Cedar Ridge, CO. She is also survived by sisters Pat Showers of Coeur d' Alene, Isabel Nobles of Phoenix, AZ and Dee Carey of Pasco, WA as well as 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was laid to rest next to her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery.
