Obituary of Jarad Roy Higgins

Jarad Roy Higgins (31) resident of Emida, ID died Nov. 20, 2010 at his home at Emida. He was born November 22, 1978 to Roy and Alyce (McCoy) Higgins at St. Maries. He grew up in St. Maries and attended schools here. After he left school, he went to work in the woods logging for Wayne Fuller and his father . He also worked for Short Logging Co. He was a true lumberjack working as a sawyer, hooker and skidder operator. He married Jennifer Davidson in 2000. He moved to McMinnville, Or in 2004 and worked as a roofer in building homes. He was divorced in 2005. He returned to Emida in 2008. He continued to work in the woods and last year , he worked with his father building roads in Plummer. He enjoyed mechanic work on automobiles. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and camping. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his children. He is survived by his son Jaramiah Dean Higgins of Tekoa, WA and his daughter Kaylene L. Anderson of Plummer, ID He is also survived by his parents Roy and Alyce Higgins of Emida and his brother and sister-in-law Waylon and Jennifer Higgins of Fernwood, ID. Also surviving are nephew Dakoda Higgins and nieces Taryn and Alexia Fuller. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Doris Higgins Nov. 13th. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date to be announced.
