Obituary of Forrest Dean Edwards
Forest Dean Edwards (61) long time resident of St. Maries died at his home January 7, 2011 of heart failure. He was born August 1, 1949 to Carrol and Aileen Edwards at Lynnwood, CA. He grew up there and attended schools there and graduated from High School in the Class of 1968. In 1969 he joined the U.S. Army and served his country with a tour in Vietnam. After leaving the service he went on to further his education by going to college and training in Automotive Repair. He is survived by his son Richard and wife Mary Edwards of St. Maries, Daughters Pakala and husband Warren Smith of Valdez AK. and Felicia Edwards of Coeur d'Alene, ID. He also is survived by a brother Adrian who lives in AZ. He was preceded by a brother Dennis Knight and sister Darlene Beplate. He loved the outdoors, working cars fishing, hunting, canning his own food. Dean did what he could, when he could, however he could, for anyone. He was loved by all who knew him. He will be remembered as the "Rescue Angel of St. Maries" He was a proud member of the American Legion and will be remembered as the "Go To Guy". A celebration of his life and Pot-Luck will be held Sunday, January 16th at 3:00 p.m.. At the Ridge View Apartments Club House.
