Obituary of Lois Lorena Pritchard
Lois Lorena Pritchard (89) resident of St. Maries, ID died Jan. 16, 2011 at St. Maries. She was born July 7, 1921 to Charles and Lorena (Bull) McDaniel at Auburn, WA. She grew up in Auburn and graduated from Puyallup High School with the class of 1939. Following her graduation, she attended Washington State College. She married John C. �Jack� Pritchard. on Oct. 21, 1944 . They made their home at Seattle, WA where she worked as a secretary for Boeing Airplane Co. She was a homemaker and began to volunteer for Ruth School in Seattle while raising her family. She moved to Anchorage, AK in 1965 where she continued to be a homemaker and volunteered for an organization called �Share Your Books� which distributed books to Native Alaskan villages. She moved to Bothell, WA in 1971 where she began her home interior design business called �Forest Park Interiors�. She and her husband Jack moved to Federal Way, WA. They officially retired in 1985 and became snowbirds and world travelers. Her husband died in 2002. She moved to St. Maries in 2004, along with her Aunt Laura Connell who she was caring for. In 2006, she moved to her home at Cassandra Hill . She has been a resident of Valley Vista Assisted Living since 2009. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Dale and Debbie Pritchard of St. Maries and John C. Jr. and Kathy Pritchard of Kent, WA. Also surviving are her sister Myrtle Lotto of Renton, WA and grandchildren Joshua, Camron and Jackson. She was a member of the Federal Way United Methodist Church. A celebration of her life was held on Friday Jan. 21, 2011 at St. Maries Church of the Nazarene at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor A.J. Anderson Officiating. Services will also be held on Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Community Church, 1320 Auburn Way So. Auburn, WA 98002 with Pastor Mark Buck officiating. Robyn Buck was vocalist for the services. The family suggests memorials to the St. Maries Church of the Nazarene Building Fund 175 Grandview Dr., St. Maries, ID 83861.
