Obituary of Terry Gene Whitaker
Terry Gene Whitaker (53) a resident of Fernwood, ID. Died February 16, 2011 of heart failure. He was born to Nolan and Madeline Whitaker February 8, 1958 in Lewiston, ID. Terry grew up in Weippe, ID., attended schools in St. Maries. ID. He enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1976 and trained in Advanced Artillery. He served in Germany. He received his Honorable Discharge in 1977. He married Melana Woodley in 1984 in St. Maries and the marriage ended in divorce in 1986. He worked for Santa Cedar. Terry was a inventor of all sorts of objects including the �Scarfer� a portable log processor. Which he had received a patent and sold the patent years later. He worked for the Regulus Stud Mills inventing equipment that is still being used today. He worked in the woods as a logger, gathering and selling firewood. He also worked with Del Metzer at his cedar shake mill. Terry enjoyed restoring automobiles and trucks. He is survived by his mother Madeline Whitaker of St. Maries. His brother John Whitaker of Coeur d' Alene. Sisters April Whitaker of St. Maries and Angela Whitaker of Hayden, ID Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and sister Bona Whitaker. A celebration of his life will be Saturday , February 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. At Hodge Funeral Home, St. Maries with Rev.
