Obituary of Darrin Marc Russell

Darrin Marc Russell (42) former St. Maries, ID resident, died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Coeur d' Alene, ID on March 22, 2012. He was born OctobDarriner 12, 1969 to Mike and Denise (Thompson) Russell at St. Maries. He grew up in St. Maries and graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 1988. Following graduation, Darrin went to work for the St. Maries Complex of Potlatch. In 1989, he began a commercial truck driving career and worked for various local and long distance companies. He had a brief marriage to Lori Auer before marrying Alejandra Martinez in 1994. That marriage ended in 1996. He and Lori Hanks were married on May 29, 2004 at Coeur d' Alene, ID. They lived between St. Maries and Coeur d' Alene. He was employed by Doyle's Wholesale and worked merchandising and delivery at the time of his death. Darrin enjoyed Barbequing , deep frying anything and fishing. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. Darrin is survived by his wife Lori at the family home in Coeur d' Alene. His son's Turi Martinez of Seattle, WA and Nicholas Russell of Coeur d' Alene. Also surviving are his father and step-mother Mike and Marilyn Russell of Post Falls and his mother and step-father Denise and Lee Layton of Medimont, ID . Darrin is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law David and Janelle Russell and their son Brydon of Rathdrum, ID Also surviving are numerous step-children, a step brother and step-sisters, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of his life will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Hodge Funeral Home, St. Maries with Deacon Floyd Turner officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow services at the St. Maries Masonic Temple.
