Jeff came into my life when his Dad & I started dating in 1984. Jeff was 12 years old then. In 1989 I became his Step Mother. I may not have given birth to him, but I am thankful I had a part in raising him. He was an inspiration to us all in how he courageously battled his cancer for nearly 10 years. He loved life, his friends, teaching, coaching, sports, fishing & most of all his precious family!! I am proud of the man he became, and will miss him terribly! "Heaven is for real" & I know we will see each other again. Love you to heaven & back! Your #2 Mom,

Jeff or "Dr. J" as I recall was a fine friend and classmate from our days in kindergarten all the way through U of I. Many good memories growing up with Jeff, and I will never forget his ability to light up a room with his humor!
Blessings to Jenny and your children.

I was so sad to hear the news of Jeff's passing. I first met Jeff when he moved to Sandpoint. He was my keyboarding teacher. I had the pleasure of meeting Jenny, Caden and Alyssa. They rented a house from my dad and I baby-sat for them occasionally. They were such an awesome family. Jeff was a great teacher, father and husband. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Jenny and their children.

What to say....I've known you everyday of my life. Every childhood memory is with you and is something I will cherish forever. You were an amazing brother. Through all of the teasing and beatings I took I would give anything to have it back. I will miss you and think of you everyday. I can only hope to live my life with the same kind of fight and courage you had. I hope to see you again with a bright red mullett in heaven. Your loving sister, Joey

My heart cries for you and your family Jenny. Jeff is a wonderful guy and will be missed. But take comfort in knowing he is a true Christian and what that means. I know we don't speak regularly and only when our busy routines bring us together for a quick chat, but you and your family have been thought about and prayed for in many ways. Should you ever need that extra shoulder or just a cup of coffee, let me know.

Jeff Green you were a great man. You treated the kids you taught with great respect and you earned their respect. Sunni Jo loved you as a personal friend and enjoyed the time she got to know you, it is very rare that you meet a teacher who has earned so much respect and friendship from his students. When we would attend games in Kootenai you would make it a point to come over to the Lakeside crowd to see old friends and catch up on the news. You will be truly missed by all who knew you and loved you.
Our prayers go out to the family of this terrific person.

Jeff was an amazing guy, he always made me laugh! He gave so much of himself to others through his dedication and zest to teaching and sharing-professionally and otherwise. He accomplished so much in his life, the highest of his achievements in his eyes were his beautiful wife and children, which says a lot about a man. He will be missed by the abundance of friends and family he left behind but their lives will be forever touched by his goodness and zeal for life.

I'm so, so sorry to the family for your tremendous loss, especially to his wife and children. Mr. Green was a teacher of mine at Lakeside High School in Plummer, and he was able to bond with so many students because of his witty sense of humor. He was so close in age to many of his students that he was wonderful at relating to us. He touched many, many lives as during his teaching career. My sincerest condolences.

He was an amazing teacher at Lakeside. We hated to see him go. But we will all remember his kindness and cheesy jokes he had for us.
I will always remember him and his drum set when he was in Plummer. My aunt lived across the street from him (as i lived down the road), she wasn't thrilled he had it and would get mad when he started playing and when I told him about it he just smiled real big with a little laugh and said but I sound awesome...
His humor and his understanding kindness was what drew us in to joining his class. That will be truly missed because there are hardly any good teachers out there like him.

Jeff and Jenny, although I am a step closer to brain cancer than most - my father past away Nov 2009 from Multifocal Glioblastoma - and I share in the grief that brain cancer brings... I know it isn't the same as losing a life-long partner. There will be phases of confusion, sadness, and anger... but as we are going though these emotions, Jenny, please remember that your Jeff and my Dad are coaching that team up in the sky together - we have to believe.
I love you and am humbled by your grace,
Tina J.

Jeff is one of the few fantastic people that you come across who touches your life by the way he lives his own. I had the opportunity to work with Jeff for a few years at Kootenai and my husband, Darby, played citi-league basketball with him. Jeff gave his battle his all, one heck of a fight. He even took the time when he was ill to come and see Darby after he was diagnosed with cancer. Jeff and his precious family will always remain close in our hearts - Jenny, you have certainly set the example! God Bless you. Meloni Donohoe

Although Jeff was well into his fight with cancer when I met him, he was always a wonderful inspiration of fighting the fight and showing everyone he met God's love through it all. I was saddened to hear of Jeff's passing but he can stop fighting and finally rest now. He will always be remembered by some of his student friends at Kootenai as the teacher with the "shark bite on his head". It was a pleasure and privilege to be among the many that he called friend. He will be greatly missed.

Jeff was a great son in-law who was committed to his family and loved all who crossed his path.
I was with Jeff and Jenny shortly after when he was diagnosed with cancer about 10 years ago, they said he only had maybe 6 months, the fighter Jeff proved them wrong with his love for life.
All the years he was married to Jenny I got to see a kind, loving family man that loved all his friends as well, he always showed me the most of respect.
Without a doubt I know where he is, preparing a place for all of his loved ones to follow someday!!!
See you on the otherside Jeff
We all love you.

Growing up with Jeff in St. Maries, you could not help but like him. My younger brother commented that Jeff would say hi to anyone, no matter what grade or age in school. He was just a great person. I admired him staying positive even in the toughest battles with his cancer. What wonderful example of family Jenny and Jeff showed us all. Love to Jenny and the kids. We will never forget Jeff... Jeff was a wonderful person and friend. I have so many memories that I don't know where to begin. Jeff and I grew up together and were pals at age 2. Our lives and careers are very closely matched. We graduated high school and college together. We both studied Business and Marketing Education at the University of Idaho and went on to love the career of teaching and coaching. Jeff always had a special smile and attitude that is unmatched. He was so outgoing and loved his family to death. Jeff you will truly be missed by all.

As a senior in high school, I pitched for Post Falls and Jeff played for St. Maries. When he and I became friends in college, he would always remind me of the double he hit off me to break up my no-hitter. Funny, it was the closest I ever came to throwing one. Jeff, you were always a tough out. You will be missed.

I just wanted to send love to Jenny and tell her I'm thinking of her and the children right now. I went to college with Jeff and we were on the newspaper staff together. Later, life threw us together again when we taught PTE classes together in Sandpoint. Jeff was always one of the happiest guys I knew--even when he was diagnosed that first time in Sandpoint. In college I took pictures to go along with his sports stories for the paper--The man loved his sports!! Take care of you and yours, Jenny. Much love to you.

Jeff is one of those guys that doesn't come along very often. In all the time that I knew him as a teacher and friend at Kootenai High School he was always the most positive person in the building.
