Obituary of Gladys L. Rasor

Gladys Lucille (Holmes) Rasor Gladys was born March 29, 1918, in Isabel, South Dakota, to Maude and Bill Holmes. She moved to Chillicothe, Missouri, with her parents when she was 16 years old. Then in 1939 she moved to Medimont, Idaho, with her parents. She married Neil Rasor July 29, 1939. During World War II they had their first son, David born in Portland, Oregon, where Neil worked in the shipyards and Gladys worked in a factory. Later they returned to Medimont, Idaho, where their second son Steve was born. Gladys was a homemaker where she served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts of America and worked as an Avon saleslady. Gladys attended the Rose Lake Baptist Church. She was well-known in her community for her gracious hospitality where she was a member of the Worthwhile Club of Medimont and a member of the Medicine Mountain Grange. Gladys and Neil left their beloved home in Medimont and moved in to Colbert, Washington in 1997 to be near family. When Neil became sick with Parkinson�s, they moved to Sullivan Park Assisted Living. Neil completed his baptism in 2004. Gladys continued to live in the assisted living for the next six years. Gladys is survived by her two sons and their wives, David and Carol Rasor of Spokane and Steve and Punky Rasor of Rathdrum, Idaho, along with five grandchildren, Leesa Birdsall, Sheela Standley, Ashley Sakae, and Cameron and Bradley Rasor as well as ten great-grandchildren.
