We will miss Chuck dearly. He was one of the FEW good men I met in my life. I still remember vividly when we attended his Wedding in SF. We always enjoyed seeing him and Betty in family gatherings and enjoyed talking with him. May Almighty GOD Bless his soul.

Chuck,
Thank you for being a wonderful friend. I will always value your sage advice on living in Northern Idaho and enjoy my many happy memories of our huckleberry and geocaching trips, lunches and wonderful conversations. You will be missed.
Love, Kirsten

Chuck holds a special place in our hearts. He was the only one who figured out the Rubiks cube and when he showed our sons, A.J. Andre, it was really amazing. He was like a father to us and always had a smile on his face whenever we saw him. We exchanged joke emails through the years. I loved it. Fond adeu to a very kind and gentle man.

We will forever remember dear, sweet Chuck. When we first moved to Sanders Road, he and Liza were our "welcoming party to the woods." We loved hearing the "putt, putt, putt" of his 3 wheeler headed down our driveway. Huckleberry picking was great - Chuck knew all the places to find the best berries and it was always an adventure for all! He was never without his trusty camera and we have pics to prove it!I (Justin) will miss the many hours we had discussing shooting guns and flying planes. Whatever you needed, Chuck was there. He was also an inspiration - who else would do the number of pushups and chin-ups as Chuck? He left us all in the dust with his exercise regime! The critters of Sanders Road knew which house to head to as well - the stray cats and sweet Lady dog knew where their bread would be buttered and where they would be loved. He gave so much to so many and that includes the two of us. We'll miss Chuck and know he lives on in every one he touched in so many ways!

Sharing a memory... I spent a week with Charlie and Liza when I was 12, in which Grandpa let me drive his tractor, shoot his gun, and hike all over the mountain. He told the neighbors how horse-crazy I was and they let me play with their Appaloosa gelding all week. Grandpa Charlie also introduced me to Louis L'amour novels -- I still re-read L'amour's entire collection every year and never tire of it. Such wonderful memories, and such a huge impact on my life! I will always be grateful to Grandpa Charlie and to Liza for that wonderful visit. Love, Regina (McCurdy) Preciado, granddaughter
