Obituary of Warren Bell

G. Warren Bell (77) longtime St. Maries area resident, died June 11, 2011 at Coeur d' Alene , ID following a brief illness. He was born August 7, 1933 to George and Beatrice (Smith) Bell at Cle Elum, WA. He grew up in Fernwood, ID. Warren left s chool at an early age to work in the woods. He enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1954 and was stationed in France where he worked in the motor pool. He was honorably discharged in 1956 and returned to Fernwood. He worked in the mines in the Silver Valley. He married Shirley Hemphill on Nov. 7, 1956 at Coeur d' Alene, ID. They made their home at Wallace, Emida and Fernwood before settling in St. Maries. His wife died in 1964. He married Rosalyn Krueger on July 20, 1964 at Coeur d' Alene. He continued to make his home in St. Maries where he worked as a gypo-logger and log truck driver. Warren and Rosalyn owned and operated "Bells Little Shop" clothing store in St. Maries from 1971 to 1981. He retired in 2000. He enjoyed woodworking, making lawn ornaments as well as bird houses. He also enjoyed metal artwork. He is survived by his wife at the family home in St. Maries. Also surviving are his son Ron Bell of Avery, ID and son and daughter-in-law Fred and Mary Bell of St. Maries. Also surviving are daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Paul Rappe' and daughter Polly Furth all of Abeline, TX. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be Friday, June 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. At the Foursquare Gospel Church with Pastor Shane Royal officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the church fellowship hall.
