Obituary of Brenda Patricia Ann JeanBlanc

Brenda Patricia Ann JeanBlanc (71) resident of Harrison, ID died June 16, 2011 at St. Maries following an apparent heart attack. She was born Feb. 22, 1940 to Matthew and Marie (Sieverson) Mehtala at Oulu, Wisconsin. She grew up in Kamiah, ID. She married Ferdinand JeanBlanc on August 28, 1954 at Orofino, ID. They made their home at Kamiah. They moved to Sitka, Alaska n 1956. She was a homemaker with her three son's at that time. In 1959, she moved to Orofino, ID and shortly thereafter to Boise, ID where her fourth son was born. He fifth son was born in 1971. She moved to Salt Lake City, UT in 1974 and worked as a seamstress for a sheep skin tannery. 1976, the family moved to Greer, ID where her husband had several businesses. She helped with the book keeping and also worked as a sawyer in the mill at Greer. She moved to Coeur d' Alene in 1983 to be close to the machine shops in Spokane. She and her husband moved to Harrison later that year. They formed FERDCO an industrial sewing machine company. She and her husband retired in 1997. She enjoyed oil painting and was developing her skills with pastels. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, was an avid reader of Romance and Western novels. She also enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas. Brenda is survived by her husband Ferdinand. Her sons Ray and wife Donna JeanBlanc of Fairview, OR., Ron , Rick and Randy JeanBlanc all of Harrison, ID and son Bob and wife Kristine JeanBlanc of Vancouver, WA. Also surviving are her sister Lois Hauerwas of Texas, 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters June and Beatrice. A celebration of her life will be at the Harrison Senior Center on Pine Street off State Hwy 97. This will be a potluck meal held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m..
