To my dearest grandmother: I love you and miss u so much. Everynight I lay in bed thinking about what you are doing now and how you must be so happy to be with grandpa and your sons and ur grandson. I have so many wonderful memories of us just laying in bed talking all night long, baking with you in the kitchen, planting flowers and veggies in the garden or our long walks around the block. I sit back and think of how you made me who I am today. I wish you were here to talk to cause i could tell you anything and you always knew what to say and how to help. I will miss you so much and I know in my heart you will always be my garden angle and you will always be there when I need you. I hope heaven is what its like it said in the bible and I will be looking forward seeing you again and we can build that house we talking about when I was little and play with the lions and tigers, and grow a beautiful field of flowers.
Love you and miss you. Your grand daughter <3

Dear Shea Family,
I met the Shea's when Vicki attended La Cumbre Jr. Hi. I'm very proud of my friendship with Vicki and the Shea Family and am extremely grateful to have shared in their lives.
Many memories of Alma and Charlie come to mind, the stories we made up to borrow the family car, Alma's best ever lemon meringue pies and many more. The special people they were will always be in my heart.
How lucky I was to enjoy their humor and wisdom. I smile as I write this, God Bless.
With Love & affection,
Raelene Gallagher

My dear, special friend, you will always be remembered and missed. The flower gardens of heaven will be in glorious bloom one day when Christ returns for us, and you get to work making it beautiful. And the smell of pies baking will fill the air. Then we'll all know what heaven truely is. For all the love and care you gave to others, the world is at a great loss without you. I love and miss you.
Your friend always,
Andrea Parenti

Alma was the beloved mother of one of my deeply cherished friends, Vicki. She and the Shea family have been part of our lives since the 1950's and we consider them a life gift. Alma's strength of character, sense of humor, generosity and her devotion to family are but a few reasons why we loved her. Also, she made the best tacos north of the Mexican border!

Dear Alma, I have so many memories of you and our times together when we were neighbors in Spokane. I would see you working in your yard, into your nineties. You told me you would work from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and loved it! It was not uncommon when I came to your house that bread would be baking in the oven.
I enjoyed our times together, and looking at your absolutely beautiful and immaculate house.
You were my inspiration, Alma, on how to live fruitful even in our later years. So much life, and a shart mind .
Everytime I look at your house on Glass Avenue, I miss you and it is still "Alma's house" to me.
God Bless you, and I am so happy that you are enjoying your wonderful Christian reward for ever!
I am also so thankful that your last years were with loving family. You were such a blessing and you were blessed.
With Love, Maureen

Rest well dear Grandma, with God, your beloved Charlie, Dennis and Leo. My warmest memory is how you would tuck the grandkids into bed during our rare visits and read the most wonderful stories to us. The epitomy of warm and fuzzy. I so appreciate the unconditional love, compassion, honesty and amazing strength you showed and gave to us. Thank you also for the skills and talents some of us seem to have been blessed with, whether by osmosis or DNA....not the least of which...humor and wit.
I so miss your beautiful smile and contagious giggle. Rest well Dearest Grandmother. I will always Love You.

Mom, thank you for being the best ever. Gene and I have so many special memories of you and Dad, not to mention the family fun, while teaching us our love and apprecition for nature. I will never look at a cloud with out thinking of you or a blue sky with out a smile, or a rain drop with out thinking of a tear. You gave me balance. Love you and will miss your Grace

A thank you to the Shea and Hedlund families for sharing your Mom with me as I needed someone to care for me as a senior in high school. Alma treated me like one of her own children and I am forever thankful that she took me in. Love to all her family. I know her wonderful spirit and love will be missed.

What a lovely obituary for Alma. She was a woman ahead of her time and she truly had "true grit". I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with her a few years ago. I know she will be greatly missed.
