Obituary of Patrick Lane Williams

Patrick Lane Williams (44) member of the Coeur d' Alene Tribe and resident of Worley, ID died Dec. 5, 2011 at his home at Worley from natural causes. He was born Jan. 7, 1967 to Francis and Patricia (Plante) Williams at St. Maries, ID. Lane grew up in Worley where his grandmother Mary had a great influence in his Catholic up bringing and faith. He graduated from Worley High School with the class of 1985. As a teenager, he worked bucking hay bales to earn spending money. Following graduation, he served briefly in the Idaho National Guard until he was honorably discharged with a medical disability. Lane never married. He worked two years fighting fires for the Tribe. His recent employment was working for the Coeur d' Alene Tribal School Distict as a cook in food service for 8 years. He enjoyed playing and watching sports. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of he Sacred Heart Mission Catholic Church. Lane is survived by his daughter Alora Williams of Yakima, WA. His father Francis Williams of Worley, ID and his brother and sister-in-law Timothy and Tiffany Williams of Worley, ID. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, 1 niece and 6 nephews. He was preceded death by his brother Mick Willliams and nephew Timothy Wolfe. Rosary will be recited Wed. Dec. 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rose Creek Longhouse, Worley, ID and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Rose Creek Longhouse. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery, Worley and a gathering of family and friends will follow back at the Longhouse.
