I met Pete while on ski patrol at Mt. Ashland Oregon in 1964. In the early 70's I worked in Alaska in the summer and reconnected with him and actually rented a room in his duplex for a few months. I fondly remember us going to Hope Alaska and hiking up a creek and camping overnight very enjoyable. Just happened to search on the internet out of curiosity as to where Pete was and stumbled across this notice. He as a good guy.
