Obituary of Judie Elaine Mueller

Judie Elaine Mueller (73) St. Maries, ID resident, died April 24, 2015 at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. She was born Oct. 4, 1941 to Charles and Sophie (Polick) Roesel at Medina, N.Y. She lived in New York until she was 9 years old and moved with her family to Santa Cruz, CA. Judie graduated from Monterey Bay Academy with the Class of 1959 at Watsonville, CA. Judie lived throughout the State of California while raising her daughters and working for various doctor’s offices as a medical assistant. She attended Butte College in Chico, CA and received her training in respiratory therapy. Judie married Arnold Mueller on September 19, 1986 in St. Maries. She enjoyed oil painting and craft work. Judie opened her business “Somethin’ Special” a craft and flower shop in the late 1990’s. She operated the business for 8 years before closing it due to health reasons. Judie enjoyed fishing, bead work, cake decorating and crocheting. Judie is survived by her husband Arnold at the family home in St. Maries. Her daughters and sons-in-law Denette and Jesse Bagley of Spokane, WA , Gayle Mabee and Roderick Brown of Tullahoma, TN and Michelle Kennard and Harlan Robson of Tucson, AZ. Also surviving are her step-daughters and husbands Teresa and Randy McNeel of Moscow, ID, Britta and Jeff Nitcy of Potlatch, ID and step-daughter Roxy Mueller of Tacoma, WA. Judie is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Charles and Pat Roesel of Myrtle Pt. OR and Paul and Bennie Roesel of Roan Mt. TN and her sister Carol Peterlin of Dunsmuir, CA. Judie is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodge Funeral Home.
