Obituary of Dorothy M. Olson

Dorothy M. Olson (88) passed away in St. Maries, ID on July 19, 2015. She was born to Durward and Mae (Kendall) Pryne on April 12, 1927 in St. Maries, ID. She grew up in St. Maries and attended school through the 8th grade. Dorothy married Delbert Oscar Olson on June 22, 1946, and she was a home maker raising 4 children. Dorothy was a member of the LDS church and Veterans Auxiliary. She worked as a Janitor for First Security Bank. Following her time at the bank, she worked in the kitchen at Heyburn Elementary until she retired. Dorothy enjoyed taking care of grandchildren, traveling, gardening, and taking vacations. Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter in-law Connie and Caralyn Olson of St. Maries, son Frank Olson of St. Maries, daughter and son in-law Christie and Larry Hill of Coeur d’ Alene, and Janice Senn of Sagle, ID. She is also survived by her sister and brother in-law Margaret and Mel Swatman of St. Maries and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Roy Pryne, and her sister Violet Bedwell. There are no services planned at this time.
