Obituary of Glen Paul Bynum
Glen Paul Bynum (82) former Hayden, ID resident, died July 27, 2015 at Valley Vista Care Center, St. Maries, ID. Glen was born October 18, 1932 to James and Allie (Glen) Bynum at Riverside, CA.
Glen grew up in Madera, CA and graduated from High School there with the class of 1950. He then attended a Bible College in Fresno, CA for two years. Glen married Laris Ables in 1945 in Fresno. He worked as a fork lift operator for Tarter-Webster and Johnson Box Factory. It was about this time that he obtained his pilot’s license to fly small aircraft.
In 1956, Glen worked as a Union Carpenter for the Fresno Union Chapter. He moved to Mulino, Or in 1960 and formed his own business as a General Contractor in building homes. In 1965, Glen lived in Seattle, WA before moving to Pine Top, AZ where he was a self-employed home builder. He and his wife re-settled in Riverside, CA and lived between, California, Nevada, Arizona and Texas where he could find construction work.
Glen was divorced in 1996. He lived in Kennewick, WA where he worked part-time as a handyman and “fix it things guy”. Glen moved to Hayden, ID in 2013 and has been a resident of St. Maries for the past 4 months. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, flying airplanes and in the 1950’s, Glen played lead guitar in a band.
Glen is survived by his sons Rick and Mark Bynum both of Hayden, ID , daughters Glenda Jefferson of Hayden, ID and Kathy Rodriguez of Pason, AZ. Also surviving are his sister Rosalie Jacobs of Newport Beach, Ca, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
