Obituary of James Albert Whitehead

James Albert Whitehead (69) passed away in St. Maries, ID on September 8, 2015. He was born to Jess and Esther Whitehead on June 11, 1946 in St. Maries, ID. He attended school in St. Maries until the 10th grade. Following high school, he started working in the woods logging. James also went to work driving log truck, which he turned into a lifelong career. He met Ellen Marie Hebert and they married. They settled in St. Maries and had one son James who they raised in St. Maries. James enjoyed fishing, boats, the outdoors, and mechanical work. James is survived by his son and daughter in-law James and Sabine Whitehead of Clarksville, TN, his brother and sister in-law John and Linda Whitehead of St. Maries, his sister and brother in-law Jeanne and Lyle Miller of St. Maries, his sisters Lela Morris of Plummer and Paula Johannes of Rochester, WA, and 1 grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Diane Hendricks and Nancy Wadsworth. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2015 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be at river property up the St. Maries Railroad Grade. Please go out Milltown, go past Hanky Panky’s, and take the first left. There will be signs posting where to go.
