Obituary of Geraldine Katherine Fanning

Geraldine Katherine Fanning (53) passed away unexpectedly in Coeur d’ Alene, ID on October 11, 2015. She was born to Morris and Dorothy Miller in Dallas, TX on August 11, 1962. As a child she was raised in Yakima, WA until her family relocated to the Coeur d’ Alene Reservation. On August 17, 2009 Geraldine married Ken Fanning at the Coeur d’ Alene Casino in Worley, ID after 23 years of dating. They had a daughter Elaine Carol Fanning. Geraldine worked for Adeline’s Smoke Shop for 10 + years. She later went to work for the Coeur d’ Alene Casino Smoke Shop. Geraldine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gambling at the casino, and cooking. She liked to watch “The Voice” and “Keeping up with the Kardashians”. Geraldine loved her birdhouses and feeding the birds that occupied them. Holidays and family gatherings were very special to her. She loved the area she lived in, but she liked to go to Spokane and visit her sister Chuggy in Spokane, WA. Geraldine is survived by her children Ruby Miller of Worley ID, Cynthia Manybears of Plummer ID, Elyssa Manybears of Plummer ID, Elaine Fanning of Plummer, ID, Juana Guiza of Lincoln NE, and Jasmyne Guiza of Lincoln, NE. She is also survived by her brothers George Miller of Spokane WA and Tony Miller of Wapato WA, sisters Annette Miller of Spokane WA, Ruby Miller of Wapato WA, and Lillian “Chuggy” Joe of Spokane WA, numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers David Miller and Bear Miller, and sister Debbie Miller. Rosary will be recited Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Rose Creek Longhouse, Worley. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Rose Creek Longhouse, Worley. Interment will follow St. Michael Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends followed services at the Rose Creek Longhouse.
