Obituary of Ruby Phillips
Ruby Phillips (55) of Emida, ID passed away at her home on November 3, 2015. She was born to Herman and Eloise (Hancock) Collins on July 12, 1960 in Orofino, ID. Ruby grew up in the Weippe, ID area. Following high school, she met Randy Phillips at her family’s hunting camp. They later married on October 18, 1976.
Randy was a logger and Ruby lived the life of a loggers wife. His work took them throughout the Pacific Northwest. They spent most of their time in and around the LC Valley. They later moved to Elk City, ID and started their family having 3 children. Ruby and her family relocated to Bovill, ID where they raised their children. They fell in love with a piece of land that they purchased near Emida, ID and made their home there.
Ruby enjoyed everything the outdoors had to offer including camping, fishing, hunting, gardening in her flower beds, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ruby is survived by her husband Randy at the family home, her son Justin Phillips of Juliaetta, ID and her daughter and son in-law Rachelle Phillips and Tony Needham of Fernwood, ID. She is also survived by 8 siblings, 7 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents and her son Cody Phillips.
Services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the family home 913 Santa Creek Road. this is a Potluck event.
