Obituary of Thomas Richard Schoolcraft
Thomas Richard Schoolcraft (39) resident of Worley, ID died May 18, 2012 at Plummer, ID. He was born June 10, 1972 to Thomas and Bernie (LaSarte) Schoolcraft at Portland, OR. Tom grew up in Seattle, WA. He attended Adams Elementary, Whitman Middle School and Ballard High School. He graduated with the class of 1990. Tom worked for different employeers in the Auburn-Pacific, WA area. In the mid-1990's, he worked laying underground water pipe in Pacifica, WA He was employed at Wal-Mart in Auburn before moving to Worley, ID in 2006. He worked in grounds keeping and custodial maintenance at the Circling Raven Golf Course for a period of time. Due to his many friends in Seattle, he spent most of his time between both Worley and in Seattle , where his heart really was . Tom enjoyed watching all sporting events, especially all the Seattle Sports teams. He had a fondness for the Portland Trailblazers and NASCAR Racing where his favorite driver was Dale Earnhart Sr. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He also enjoyed playing golf. Tom was a member of the Sacred Heart Mission Catholic Church and the Coeur d' Alene Tribe. Tom is survived by his mother Bernie LaSarte of Worley, ID and his father Thomas Schoolcraft of Portland, OR. Also surviving are his sister Annie LaSarte and niece Lanie Nomee both of Spokane Valley, Wa. Tom was preceded in death by grandparents Happy and Hattie LaSarte, Aunt Angie LaSarte, Uncle Ed Crowe and best friends Steve and Craig Veidt. Rosary will be recited Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. And Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday May 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. both at Evangeline Abraham Longhouse, DeSmet, ID with Fr. Thomas Connolly S.J. Officiating. Interment will follow at the Coeur d' Alene Tribal Cemetery, DeSmet with a gathering of family and friends following back at the Longhouse.
