Obituary of Marjorie M. Bedwell

Marjorie M. (De Vault) Bedwell (77) a resident of St. Maries, died May 24, 2012 at St. Maries. She was born March 9, 1935 to William and Sarah (Poole) De Vault at Colfax, WA. She attended St. Maries schools and grew up in St. Maries ID. She married Roy C. Bedwell on December 24, 1951 at St.Maries by Judge Sam Irvine. She was a stay at home mom and raised her children. In the 1970's she attended Culinary Arts Classes at North Idaho College. She then went to work for St. Maries School District in 1971 and worked as a baker in the Cafeteria food service. She worked for the District for 28 years. She retired in 1998 . Marjorie's husband Roy died 2009. She loved going to the Casino with Marge Welch and Martha Darter. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and caring for her yard. She was a member of the St. Maries Women's Investment Club for several years and the St. Maries Women's Birthday Club for over 50 years as well as enjoying going to yard sales with Gloria Bedwell. She also enjoyed white-water rafting on the Yellowstone River in Montana. She enjoyed traveling all over the World. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Stanley and Sharon Bedwell of Billings, MT., her daughters Rayda Yearout of St. Maries, and Darla Bailey of Seattle WA. her brothers Waldo DeVault of St. Maries Willard DeVault of Potlatch, ID., Walt DeVault of Clarkston, ID., and sisters Elsie Bunge Twillger , Mildred Queener and Eunice Benjamin both of Clarkston WA. and also 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday May 26th, at 3:00 p.m. At the St. Maries Assembly of God Church with Rev. Lynn Peters officiating.
