Obituary of Kevin Wynn Davis

Kevin W. Davis (53) resident of St. Maries, ID died January 28, 2016 at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’ Alene, ID from Pneumonia due to a suppressed immune system. He was born October 16, 1962 to Paul and AnnaMarie (Cobb) Davis in Modesto, CA. Kevin grew up in Ceres, CA. He graduated from Modesto Christian High School with the Class of 1981. Kevin attended Stanislaus State University at Turlock, CA. He married his high school sweetheart Margaret D. Cooper on March 2, 1985 at Ceres, CA where they made their home. Kevin graduated from Stanislaus State Univ. with a B.A. degree in Education in 1992. He and Margaret moved to St. Maries where he became employed by School District #41 to complete his student teaching and worked as a substitute teacher. In the mid-1990’s, Kevin went to work for the Lakeside School District in Plummer. He taught Math and Science in the Middle School and High School. Illness forced Kevin to retire in 2012. Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping with his family. He was a John Wayne memorabilia collector. Kevin was an avid Pittsburg Steeler Fan. Kevin had a deep love for his family. He loved life, no one was a stranger. He was deeply patriotic and had great faith in God. Kevin is survived by his wife Margaret and his daughter Kaela Marie at the family home. Also surviving are his parents Paul and AnnaMarie Davis of St. Maries, his brothers and sisters-in-law Wade and Shannie Davis of Athol, ID and Brian and Megan Davis of St. Maries. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Kevin’s life will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene 175 Grandview Drive, St. Maries, ID. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow services at the church The family suggests memorials in Kevin's name to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
