Obituary of Paul Jeffers
Paul Jeffers (67) resident of Fernwood, ID died July 10, 2012 at Coeur d' Alene, ID. He was born November 23, 1944 to William and Rosa (Halloway) Jeffers at McCreary Co., KY. Paul grew up in Kentucky and Michigan. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1962. He served 3 tours in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star. He married Bernadine Brandow on Nov. 23, 1968 at Greenville, MI. His military career took him to Military installations in Korea, Berlin, Germany and bases throughout the United States. He retired a First Sergeant in 1984. He moved to Fenwick, MI where had various jobs including working in manufacturing and being a Park Ranger. Paul moved to Fernwood, ID in 1997. He was divorced in 2002. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was and avid prospector and rock-hound. He also enjoyed spelunking as well as photography. Paul is survived by his daughters Michelle R. Jeffers of Anderson, IN , Rachael L. Frey of Everett, WA, Louise Bissell of Fenwick, MI and Cynthia Hoover of Big Rapids, MI also surviving are son Paul McGimpsey of Alma, MI. and brother and sister-in-law Ken and Doris Jeffers of Carson City, MI. Other survivors include sisters Doris (Irvin) Jones of Greenville, MI, and Gloria Ingersol of Lakeview, MI., 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special friends Bernadine King, Pastor Tom Howard, Frank Creamer and Darrell Phillips.
