Obituary of Shirley Rae Guild
Shirley Guild, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, family member and friend passed away with family at her side. Shirley was born to Perle and Wanetta Coughenour on January 21, 1941 in Coffeeville, KS. In 1957 she met and married James Guild in California. They moved to the Lewiston-Clarkston valley soon after to start their family.
She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for Evergreen Estates and an avid volunteer, recognized by Shriners Children's Hospital of Spokane, WA in their Gold Book for her time spent sewing stuffed animals for their patients. Mom and Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing, gold panning and camping with family. She had many talents including sewing, crocheting and cooking. She was supportive of Becky in her baton and Jeff in his track years, always being their biggest fan and cheerleader.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Her husband Jim Guild passed away in 1987. She is survived by her daughter Becky (Rich) Griner of Clarkston, WA, her son Jeff Guild from Auburn, WA, grandchildren Brad (Andrea) Vilgos of Ewa Beach, HI, Heather (Braden) Lott from Soda Springs, ID, Amanda Guild of Seattle, WA, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lifecare Center of Lewiston and Valley Vista Care Center in St. Maries, ID for the compassionate and attentive care given to Shirley.
