Obituary of Bruce Erickson

Bruce Erickson (82) longtime Benewah Valley resident died July 19, 2012 at his home following a recent stroke suffered on May 30th. He was born in Southern Idaho in 1930. He moved with his family to North Idaho at age 9. He went to school at Rose Lake and graduated from high school in Rathdrum, ID. He worked in the logging industry. He married Louie Jean Stevens in 1949. Bruce owned Erickson Saw Shop in Coeur d' Alene, ID from 1960 to 1970. He moved to St. Maries in 1974 in the Benewah Valley. He owned and operated the Triple X until he sold the business in 1991. During his retirement, he logged his own property, put up hay, cut fire wood and enjoyed playing golf. His wife died in 1998. He is survived by his companion Millie and 6 of his children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at the family home 1488 Erickson Rd. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. To 4:00 p.m..
