Obituary of William J. Palbicki Jr.

William J. “Bill” Palbicki Jr. (81) resident of St. Maries, ID died April 14, 2016 at his home in St. Maries under Hospice care. He was born November 26, 1934 to William and Laura (Selke) Palbicki Sr. at Winona, MN. Bill grew up in Winona. As a young man, he worked at the Bloedow bakery. Bill married Shirley Frahm Feb. 13, 1960 at Winona. He later went on to work for Fiberite Inc. Bill and Shirley moved to St. Maries, ID in 1968. He went to work for the St. Maries Complex of Potlatch Corp. as a welder. Bill retired in 1997. His beloved wife died in 2006. Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved feeding wild birds around his home. Bill was an avid wood worker. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren as well as camping. Bill enjoyed his frequent trips back to Winona to visit with family and friends. Bill is survived by his daughters and son’s in law Sherry and Kurt Campbell of Battle Ground, WA. Wendy and Paul Gilstrap of East Ridge, TN and his daughters Christy Haney of Spokane Valley, WA and Laurie Wright of Dennison, TX. He is also survived by brothers Mike Kearns of Winona and Scotty and Lori Palbicki of Winona, Mn. Bill is also survived by sisters Joanie (Raymond) Erickson of Keystone Heights, FL, Janet (Jeff) Gilbertson of LaCrosse, WI, Diane Myszka of Winona, Mn, and Tamie Theisen of Trempealeau, WI. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Family memorial service is being planned at a later date.
