It's with a heavy heart, Donnie, that I write this goodbye. Thank You for all you did, especially turning me on to Limburger cheese. What are friends for, right? I will miss your smiling face so very much. To Anna and the rest of the family, may it bring you some comfort knowing he is with our Lord now, where there are no tears. I am trying to remember that myself.

So sorry for your loss. Growing up in Fernwood, you could always count on Donny's friendly smile at the Merc. I know my husband, Chad, also has some hunting camp stories of Donny that he holds dear to his heart up at "No-No Camp."

I've known Donnie my entire life. As I got older I knew him better. His daughter Daisy babysat our children. She was one of our favorites!! The post office used to be inside the merc and so I saw Donnie almost every day when I'd stop in after school to pick up the mail. I can't picture him now without his wonderful smile! The first time I saw his eight-ball, it freaked me out and that made him laugh!! He told some of the best stories! Anna, do you remember when I borrowed your craw dad trap? He told me to use canned cat food as bait. "But don't use Fancy Feast" he said. I waited for some great scientific explanation! "It's too expensive!" He said!! Donnie is forever one of the great stones of this community on which my life was built. He was always there, always kind, always smiling, and will always hold a place in my heart. I will miss him and think of him always!

All I can say is that he was a good man and represented his community very well. Greatly respected in High School and one of the last of those called 'a really nice guy'.
