Obituary of Lori Lee Shelden

Lori Lee Shelden (52) resident of Fernwood, ID, died May 29, 2016 at St. Maries. She was born Dec. 14, 1963 to Raymond and Sharon (Stuart) Papke at Bozeman, MT. Lori moved to St. Maries in 1977. She attended St. Maries High School. Lori and Darby Shelden were married on July 12, 1980 in St. Maries. The couple had two sons Kelly and Jessy. Lori was a stay at home mom and raised her children. Her husband Darby died in 1989. Over the years, Lori was a waitress, mill worker, cashier, and worked in food service for Valley Vista Care Center. Lori enjoyed taking long walks and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved her children. Lori was a shy, quiet person with a good heart. Lori was always going to bat for the underdog. She had a gentle soul. She was loyal to a fault, and she shared what little she had to those she thought needed it more. Lori is survived by her sons Kelly and Jessy Shelden both of St. Maries. Her mother Sharon Breeton and her brother Bradley Breeton both of Missoula, Mt. and her sisters Gina Papke of Portland, OR, Deanna Schmidt of Billings, MT, and Michelle Breeton of Missoula, MT. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law Phoebe and Dennis Shelden of St. Maries and two grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for Monday June 13, 2016 11:00 am at Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow at the Eagles Lodge in St. Maries, ID.
