Obituary of David Dean Gale

David Dean Gale (57) resident of Fernwood, ID passed away at his home on May 31, 2016. He was born to Richard and Marjorie (Oliverius) Gale on August 2, 1958 in Vallejo, CA. David’s father was in the military and the family moved around a lot when he was a child. David received his GED and married Susan Anderson in February 1976 in Cheyenne, WY. The couple had 3 children Walter, Brian, and Lisa. They were later divorced in 1985. David worked in the lumber and timber industry. He was working at a mill in Nampa, ID when he met Cathy Courtright. They dated for 5 years before marrying on September 19, 1990 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. The couple lived in Caldwell, ID while David worked in Homedale and Meridian. They had 2 children Benjamin and Zachariah. Before an injury forced David into retirement, he was working for KIT Manufacturing building trailers. David was a handyman who was not only talented, but was very mechanically inclined. One time he built his children stilts and taught them how to walk on them. A few of his children can still walk on them to this day. David enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and his dogs. David is survived by his wife Cathy; sons Brian Gale of Nampa, ID and Walter (Christina) Gale, Zachariah (Miley) Gale, and Benjamin Gale all of Caldwell, ID; daughter Lisa (Klint) Breeding of Idaho City, ID; father Richard Gale; sisters Jeanette Bragg of Fernwood, ID and Katherine Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; and 4 grandchildren Dakota, Tresten, Ashton, and Logan. He is preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Norton. At this time services are pending.
