Obituary of Marianna Oliver

Marianna Oliver (88) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away on June 26, 2016. She was born to Peter and Lucia Oddenino on November 27, 1927 in Price, UT. Marianna grew up in Price and graduated from Carbon High School with the class of 1944. Following high school, Marianna attended Henniger’s Business College in Salt Lake City, UT. She met Roland Oliver and married him on February 19, 1966 in Price, UT. The couple adopted their daughter Maria in 1967. The family relocated to Costa Mesa, CA in 1971. Marianna went to work for Lescoulie Nurses Registry where she was in charge of sending Private Duty Nurses out on assignments. In 1987 Marianna retired. In her retirement she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling with her husband sightseeing including some memorable trips to Las Vegas, NV and Hawaii. In 2002 Marianna and Roland moved to St. Maries, ID with their family. Her biggest enjoyment was following her granddaughter Lucia around in her sports, dance, music, and academics. Marianna was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and beat it being a 6 year survivor. She loved BINGO at the Senior Center and looked forward to her appointments on Friday’s with Della. Marianna was a member of the St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in St. Maries, ID. Marianna is survived by her spouse Roland at the family home. She is also survived by her daughter and son in-law Maria and John Yegge of St. Maries, and one granddaughter. Rosary will be recited on July 1, 2016 at 10:00 am with Mass following at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow.
