Obituary of Maryann Harney

Maryann Harney (73) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandma peacefully went home to be with Jesus surrounded by her family at her home in St. Maries, ID on August 8, 2016. She was born on May 28, 1943 to Anthony and Emma Brazil in Salinas, CA. She attended and graduated high school in Grants Pass, OR. Following high school she met her husband Bill Harney and they were married in Reno, NV on July 4, 1963. The couple moved to Weippe, ID in 1966 where Bill went to work for Potlatch Corporation and Mary was a homemaker raising their 3 daughters. The family moved to the St. Maries, ID area in 1980, and the couple eventually retired. Maryann enjoyed crafting, camping, gardening, softball, and her family and friends. Her biggest enjoyment was being a member of the St. Maries Assembly of God Church. Maryann is survived by her husband Bill at the family home; daughters Karen Murphy of St. Maries, ID, Janet Petramala of Rathdrum, ID, and Malissa (John) Taylor of Lusby, MD. She is also survived by grandchildren Brandon Taylor, Austin Taylor, Justen Winter, and Amanda Winter, and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Tony Brazil Jr. A funeral service will be Saturday August 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at the St. Maries Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries, ID. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow at the St. Maries Assembly of God Church.
