Obituary of Ronald "Glenn" McCall

Ronald “Glenn” McCall (78) resident of Clarkia, ID passed away on September 7, 2016 in St. Maries, ID. He was born to Norman and Dorothy McCall in Palouse, WA on November 29, 1937. Glenn grew up around Fernwood, ID. He graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 1955. Glenn married Emmalene Wilks on November 29, 1956 in Fernwood, ID. The couple started their family having 2 daughters Della and Brenda. He went into partnership with his brother Bud and they formed McCall Logging Company which took the family to Elk River, ID. Glenn and Emmalene later divorced in 1978. Glenn married Doreen Spray on September 20, 1980 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. The couple made their home in Fernwood, ID. Glenn performed many job duties including logger, heavy and light equipment operator, sawyer, and log truck driver. He eventually went into farming and raised hay for his livestock. The couple raised quarter horses on their ranch near Fernwood, ID. Doreen passed away in 2015. Glenn always liked keeping busy working and was considered a “Jack of all Trades”. Glenn is survived by his daughters Della (Ed) Kennon and Brenda Bittner of St. Maries, ID; step-daughter Kellie (Brant) Sines of Fernwood, ID; step-sons Russell (Deanna) Spray of Fernwood, ID and Terry Spray of Lewiston, ID. He is also survived by his brother Bud (Janice) McCall of St. Maries, ID; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held September 24, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Upriver Elementary Gymnasium. A potluck gathering for family and friends will follow at the CAF Building in Fernwood, ID.
